Oracle launches twin R&D centres in Gurgaon

World’s third largest software company Oracle today launched Oracle Asia Research and Development Center (OARDC) in India. The new R&D centre is a part of Oracle’s $3 billion planned investment in India over the past five years. As a part of the initiative, Orcale also launched its first partner solution center (PSC) in India.

The two Gurgaon-based centres are a part of Oracle’s 19 research, development and solution centers spread across Asia Pacific (Apac) and Japan. Oracle now has seven development and solution centers in India.

“The Gurgaon Oracle Asia Research and Development Center and Partner Solution Center will help us and our partners deliver creative and innovative IT solutions that will enable Indian enterprises and governments meet the local citizens’ and consumers’ unique needs,” said Brian Mitchell, senior VP (Asia Pacific Division), Oracle Corporation.

“The Oracle Asia Research and Development Center and Partner Solution Center will undertake India-specific projects to enhance our capabilities in our e-Governance Center of Excellence, which was established in Gurgaon in 2003,” added Krishan Dhawan, managing director, Oracle India.
