LS polls: BSP to go it alone in Haryana

The Haryana unit of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has reiterated to go it alone in the coming Lok Sabha elections.

Talking to mediapersons at Gohana town, 35 km from here on Sunday, Parkash Bharati, President of the state unit of the party categorically said that the BSP would have no truck with any party and contest all 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana.

Referring to the alliance of the BJP with the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), the BSP leader said it will prove fatal as the people of the state were fed up with the rule of INLD supremo and former Chief Minister Om Parkash Chautala.

The BJP workers also, by and large, were against this alliance and they wanted to go alone in the elections.

He claimed that the base of the party in Haryana has become widened as more and more people are joining the fold of the party. The wave in favour of the BSP was sweeping all over the state and it will certainly win all the Lok Sabha seats in Haryana.

The BSP leader also maintained that the Ekta Shakti party has been merged with the BSP and not entered into any alliance in it. In this way the base of the party has also been strengthened in the state.

Dev Raj Dewan, former MLA and the party candidate from Sonepat Lok Sabha seat, indicated that the party will not forge any alliance with the Haryana Janhit Congress (BL) as the supremo of the party and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mayawati was against the alliance.

He alleged that the law and order situation in the state had almost collapsed and atrocities of the police were on the rise.

He demanded immediate resignation of the Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on moral ground.
