Haryana mulls to open private civil aviation schools at four airstrips through PPP mode

Haryana government plans to set up private civil aviation schools at its four airstrips namely Pinjore, Karnal, Bhiwani and Narnaul through public private partnership so as more avenue can be available for the youths of the state in civilaviation sector.

This was stated by Haryana power minister, Randeep Singh Surjewala who is also head of the committee constituted to deliberate on all issues relating to development of airstrips in Haryana while addressing a press conference here on Wednesday.

Surjewala said that in this regard an expression of interest was being invited with in next four days. He said that the parties who are interested to operate these air strips as a private flying training academies would have to pay Rs10 lakh as annuallicence fee, Rs 8,000 per month per aircraft as operation charge below 5,700 kg and Rs10,000 per aircraft above 5700 kg.He said that charges for built-up hanger or office space would be Rs.500 per square metre annually.
