A man was killed in an apparent suicide attempt on Thursday when he was hit by a metro train inside a tunnel here.
The youth, aged about 25 years, was walking unauthorisedly on the Metro tracks in the tunnel near Chawri Bazar in Central Delhi, Metro officials said.
The train operator noticed the youth walking in the tunnel at about 2:35 pm, they said, adding that emergency brakes were immediately applied but the train hit the youth before stopping.
The youth was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.
