Another young woman was killed in her sleep in Baljeet Nagar, west Delhi, the area where a string of attacks on women are being attributed to a ‘Hammerman’.
Though the police rubbished talk of a serial killer, saying the attacks were unrelated, the latest murder falls into the pattern of past killings. Like in most past cases, the 22-year-old victim, Sangeeta Gupta, was killed with a blunt object in the early hours of Thursday.
For the first time, the killing took place in Baljeet Nagar Janata flats. The victim’s mother says she saw the killer when she returned after collecting water at 4.35 am. He was frail, of wheatish complexion and average height, she said.
