At least four persons were killed in an explosion at the house of a mining labourer in Hathan village near here on Friday. The blast occurred in the house of one Krishan Harijan, a labourer at a mining site in Mewad district around noon, Deputy Commissioner of Police of the district Chandraprakash said.
Bodies of four persons have been recovered from the spot which are yet to be identified, he said. The explosive found at the site of the blast is similar to that used in mining, he said. Senior police officials, including SSP H S Doon, have reached the spot, he said.
The four bodies recovered from the spot have been identified as those of the house owner Krishan, his wife Sona Devi, his son Naresh and daughter Shamwati, police said. Two persons have been injured in the blast, they said adding that they were identified as Banwari and Lalitha, both neighbours of Krishan.
