THE Class-IV employees of the Food Corporation of India (FCI) here today levelled charges against a top functionary of FCI alleging that the Class-IV employees were being made to suffer due to the wrong polices being implemented by the general manager of Punjab and Haryana region.
Addressing a press conference here today, Amar Nath, advisor of the employees union, alleged that T C Gupta, who held the post of general manager of Punjab and Haryana region, was issuing various circulars from time to time that affected the working of the corporation and caused huge losses to the FCI.
He alleged that Gupta was terrorising the FCI employees as he had compulsorily retired more than 50 employees. He said the general manager had created a fear psychosis among the employees who were now reluctant to report the matter to the superiors. Amar Nath alleged that T C Gupta was misusing his proximity with Akhilesh Kumar, Minister of State for Food and Supplies of the Union government, for terrorising the employees.
He said the Class-IV employees union of the FCI had recently reported the matter to higher authorities that Gupta had issued several circulars because of which the corporation was suffering huge losses.
